"I am interested in elasticizing the intention of the photographic image. Movement, light, superimposition, juxtaposition, collage, repetition, and contradiction hopefully play a part in the results of the printed moments of the exhibited work. The progress has sometimes been elaborated by added manipulation of the digital images as a compliment to their intent.

Americo studied Painting and Film while at University of California, Berkeley:; Architecture at University of Washington, Seattle; and Harvard’s Graduate School of Design. Americo has produced a variety of short films, including a film commissioned by the Seattle Symphony, and has received a variety of prizes and commissions.
