Emilia Dubicki:

I am interested in the cyclical nature of life - seasons,
tides, day and night - and how this regular uncontrollable rhythm is the
framework for experience that is constantly new and unpredictable with every
second. I am also interested in time and the fleeting nature of objects,
activities and emotions. To be present in each moment and be reborn in the work,
simultaneously is my goal.
Trying to capture the particular spirit of an instant, the
feeling of a place, the infinite moods of water and sky, and the evolving colors
of the landscape is what motivates and inspires me.
I work mostly from memory, but sometimes from direct
observation or my own photographs, which serve as sketches of place and time.
